JACKSONVILLE - AL -
A standoff that lasted almost four hours in Jacksonville has ended.
Police say 26-year Charles Still, who had not been home in two nights, showed up at his house on McFall Road this morning. Police say he and his wife got into an argument and she called police. When police arrived on the scene, officers say he fired 11 shots in their direction.
After about an hour, the wife and children got out of the house safely. The wife also had the rifle, she said her husband was shooting, out of the house.
The man was taken into custody without incident around 12:15pm. Officer found no other weapons in the home. Still had warned authorities he had booby trapped his mobile home.
Still is in the city jail, soon to be charged with domestic violence and reckless endangerment.
