When it comes to preventing obesity, exercise doesn't have the same effect on African American girls as Caucasian girls.
That's according to a new pediatrics study.
Researchers say, black girls are less responsive to the benefits of physical activity.
They looked at the exercise levels and food intake of more than 1,100 adolescent girls at age 12.
The study found Black American girls were more likely to be obese by age 14 than White American girls.
