In the dry cleaning business, metal hangers already are a big expense. It is going to get worse.

The cost of the hangers will be rising since the United States is imposing new trade penalties on Vietnam.

The U.S. imports more wire hangers from Vietnam than from any other country. The Vietnamese government has been unfairly subsidizing wire hanger exports.

Dry cleaners confirm that most will have to pass the new higher costs on to customers.
