TUSCALOOSA - AL -
A former Tuscaloosa police officer has now been indicted for possible civil rights violations, in connection with the sexual assault of a woman.
The incident happened in 2011. A five count indictment filed in U.S. District Court charges Jason Glenn Thomas with violating the woman's constitutional rights. It also charges Thomas with obstruction of justice based on misleading statements he provided to law enforcement officers during the investigation.
