Diabetes & Emotions

Posted: Updated:

Diabetes can not only take a serious toll on your physical health but also your emotional health.

And that's not good either.

Experts say, your emotions can wreak havoc on your diabetes control and quality of life.

Researchers say, depression has long been linked to diabetes, especially type 2.

Doctors say, high blood-sugar levels (hyperglycemia) can lead to mood changes.

They say, hyperglycemia can affect your ability to concentrate and can make you feel grouchy.

And that any change in the blood sugar outside of the normal ranges makes you feel weird and uncomfortable.

Uncontrolled diabetes also may worsen depression, causing a vicious cycle.
