The Tulsa Shock open the 2012 season at home Saturday night. This week, we've profiled a different player each day. This time, it's Ivory Latta's turn.
Ivory says while she is a professional basketball player, the sport is not her favorite.
"Baseball is my number one sport," she confesses. "I always knew I was going to be like the first girl to play with the Braves, play along with Chipper Jones who's my favorite player."
She says her dad encouraged her to stick with basketball and it's paid off.
Ivory says her hobby is sleeping.
"If that could be a hobby, I would win every time," she says.
Her favorite meal? Meat loaf, green beans and mashed potatoes.
"I can't make it, but my mom makes it. It's my favorite meal of all time."
"I am somewhat of a pet person, but I don't think I can live with a pet. I don't have anything against pets, I love pets, pets love me, I love animals, but I think I have a hard time keeping up with myself so I can't take care of any pet right now."
Ivory is a 5'6" guard and was a star at North Carolina, earning ESPN's Player of the Year and the Nancy Lieberman Award in 2006. She's been with the Shock since she was drafted with the 11th overall pick in 2007.
Last season, Ivory averaged 12.2 points, two rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Shock.
