One killed in wreck on I-459

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

A man was killed Friday around 3:35 P.M. in an accident involving a motorcycle on I-459 in Irondale. 55-year old Robert Rutledge, Jr was driving a 2006 Honda motorcycle when he swerved and hit a car, and then hit another car, according to State Troopers and Irondale Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck happened between I-20 and the Grants Mill Road Exit.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.
