A mother in New Jersey allegedly took her 5-year-old daughter into a stand-up tanning booth last month.

Apparently, the girl ended up with burns.

Police were call to her elementary school on April 24 because the kindergarten student was in pain due to a "pretty severe sunburn."

Anyone younger than age 14 is banned by law from using tanning salons in New Jersey.

The 44 year old mother has been charged with child endangerment.
