Guns stolen from law enforcement patrol vehicles in Etowah County have been recovered. Etowah County Sheriff, Todd Entrekin, says two suspects are in custody and law enforcement officers are searching for an additional person.
Two shot guns, three AR15 rifles, one 22 caliber rifle, two personal hand guns and one bullet proof vest were found Wednesday at various locations in Etowah County. Ten other weapons have also been found and are waiting to be identified.
The majority of the thefts committed are believed to have been done by the persons in custody and they may have been trading the weapons for narcotics.
