A tractor trailer crashed early Wednesday morning, sending the driver to the hospital and causing a two-hour delay in traffic.
Southside Fire & Police officials say the accident happened near the intersection of Highway 77 and Snyder Road. Detours have been set up for traffic traveling in both directions: Northbound traffic drivers can take Lister Ferry Road to Cedar Bend Road to get back on Highway 77.
Southbound traffic drivers can take Pilgrim's Rest Road to Green Valley Road to get back on Highway 77.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to Gadsden Regional Hospital with head injuries. There is no word on the medical condition of that driver.
