The Birmingham Police Department will announce the 2012 Department Awards Ceremony on February 23rd at the Botanical Gardens. 

The ceremony will recognize the outstanding achievements of officers in the performance of their duties.  The ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m.   A total of 21 medals will be awarded with 3 being issued to citizens.  A citizen, whose life was saved by an officer and two citizens, will be in attendance and meet for the first time.
