This country has come a long way when it comes to equal pay for equal work.  But, the the truth of the matter is, gaps still exist....

The average female worker earns 81 cents for every dollar of her male counterpart.  Payscale is a company that collects salary data.  It analyzed its database to see how the gender pay gap varies by college major.

The ones with the biggest percentage difference are architecture, education and criminal justice.  The only discipline out of 26 where women had higher earnings was information technology.
