Disaster Recovery Center in Clay closing Saturday

Posted: Updated:

The recovery from January's tornado recently hit a milestone.

Since the President declared a federal disaster on February 1st, more than $1.2 million has poured in for individuals and families.

The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is April 2nd.

This important note for those impacted by the storm in Clay.  The Disaster Recovery Center at the Clay Community Center will close Saturday but reopen Tuesday as a Small Business Administration Disaster Loan Outreach Center.

What's the difference? A recovery center meets immediate needs of storm survivors, while a disaster loan center focuses on funds needed for long-term rebuilding and recovery.
