Most patients are prescribed antibiotics to help reduce symptoms.
But, a new study questions whether antibiotics actually offer any real benefits.
Doctors from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri treated some 200 patients for sinusitis.
Some received antibiotics. Others received just symptomatic treatment.
Turned out, the recovery rate was the same.
