Do you have a gift card you think you're never going to use?

Then, exchange it for frequent flier miles.  United Airlines just launched the Mileage Plus Gift Card Exchange, a program that will allow its members to convert retail gift cards into frequent flyer miles.

The airline will accept cards from more than 60 retailers.  At least $25 has to be left on the card.  If you're already a MileagePlus member, all you have to do is log onto the website and select the gift card retailer to get the process started.
