Matters of Faith 2-12-12 Poet

Adversity can lead to inspiration... a local woman was inspired she says... by God to help others through her poetry.

Heartbreak began her healing journey through poetry.

Janice Johnson is a self published poet. On the day we met, she read her poem entitled:

The Best Man in my Life.

Janice: "The best man in my life... I met a man who is so sweet."

Janice Johnson works in retail.. and says she doesn't have training as a writer... she says.... it came from God.

Janice. "God gave it to me in a dream. I had been through some bad relationships. God was telling me I was somebody."

Now she has written several poems all to encourage others... through their heartbreaks.

Janice: "He lifts me up when I'm down... he walks beside me. He does not try to tear me down... does not lie.... He says when I cry he'll wipe the tears from my eyes... He's the best man I ever met... his name is Jesus.

Janice gives all the credit for her writing ability to God.
