People seem fascinated by a just revealed  FBI file. The agency had a file on Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. The report on the technology guru was complete in 1991. That's when president George H. W. Bush was considering appointing Jobs to his president's export council. Many of the people interviewed in the report said Jobs would be perfect because he was driven and hardworking. But a few questioned Jobs' ethics and morality and said he would twist the truth to achieve his goals. Jobs did serve as a voluntary member of the council.

People are still looking for information on the president's waivers for the "no child left behind" law. Ten states received the waivers this week. Alabama has yet to apply for such a waiver. According to the state Department of Education, the superintendent and school board wanted to craft a different waiver on its own terms. A spokesman for the superintendent says the state has certain reform initiatives that have been very successful, and doesn't want to compromise those programs to accommodate the "existing federal waiver." We're told it will probably be sometime in the late spring or summer before the state's final waiver request is complete. Twenty-eight other states will find out later this month if they received requested waivers.

A Colorado news anchor underwent reconstructive surgery after being bitten in the face by an argentine mastiff. Kyle Dyer was reporting about how a firefighter rescued the 85-pound dog from an icy pond, when the animal suddenly snapped at her. The video went viral online. The dog's owner was cited with failure to have his dog on a leash, allowing a dog to bite and failure to have a vaccinated dog. Max is in quarantine until a hearing can be scheduled.
