Former Gadsden City High School teacher and baseball coach Nick Smith is standing trial in an Etowah County courtroom accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year old girl.
A friend of Smith's accuser testified the alleged victim admitted to having a relationship with Smith back in 2009. The friend also told the court the 15- year old described to her the first sexual encounter between the two. " He pretty much raped me" is how the witness recalled the accuser's recounting of the incident-- fueled, she says, be alcohol.
Several witnesses testified Smith gave the accuser a cellular to keep their conversation hidden from her family.
