
The Alabama Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Emergency Management Agency recently opened five Disaster Recovery Centers in Chilton and Jefferson counties to help survivors of the January tornadoes.
People who need services in Clanton, Maplesville and Bessemer should visit those sites by Saturday at 7 p.m. That's when those locations will close.
After Saturday, the remaining two DRC's at Center Point and Clay will continue to operate from 1p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The deadline to apply for individual assistance through FEMA is April 2.
