Oral Roberts University junior guard Kevi Luper set the Summit League career scoring record on Saturday night as the Golden Eagles topped North Dakota State University, 84-75, at the Bison Sports Arena.
Luper scored 41 points in the game, the second-highest total of her collegiate career. The two-time All-American ended the game with 2,120 career points, 15 better than former ORU standout Krista Ragan's previous Summit League record of 2,105.
Luper's 41-point effort also broke a 27-year-old Bison Sports Arena single-game scoring record.
The Adair product was 16-for-28 from the floor, 3-for-5 from three-point range and 6-for-6 from the free throw line. She came into the game needing 27 points to break Ragan's record, which fell at the 12:15 mark of the second half.
With the win, ORU improves to 15-8, 9-3 in the Summit League. ORU has won five straight over the Bison.
Luper and the Golden Eagles will look to finish the road trip in style on Monday night, when they face South Dakota State. Tip-off between the Golden Eagles and the first-place Jackrabbits is scheduled for 7 pm CT.
