Experts say, the key to lowering your risk of heart disease is to know your numbers.
Here's a look at where an adult's numbers should be.
Total cholesterol should be less than 200 milligrams per
deciliter.
LDL or bad cholesterol should at least be less than 130 and your HDL or good cholesterol should be above 50 for men and above 55 for women.
Blood pressure should not be more than 140 over 90.
Blood glucose between 70 and100.
And body mass index should be 25 or less.
