The CDC says not enough Americans are being screened for colon, breast and cervical cancers.

In 2010, about 72 percent of women were being screened for breast cancer.

That falls below the national target of 81 percent.

That same year, 83 percent of women were screened for cervical cancer; again, below the CDC's target of 93.

Only about 59 percent of Americans were screened for colon cancer, well below the target of 70 percent.

Screening rates for Asians and Hispanics were even lower.
