Matters of Faith 1-15-12 Dr. Kynerd

A lifetime of love, faith and serving.... That's how you can describe Dr. Byrle Kynerd the Chancellor at Briarwood Christian School.

He is a part of the history and growth of the school... and is now heading to a new ministry.

Briarwood Christian School... has grown from having a little more than a hundred students in 1964 .... to almost 2000 students today.

One of the men helping to pray and direct the students, teachers and alumnae at the School is Dr. Byrle Kynerd.

Since 1977 his prayer has been to help change lives for the better.

Dr. Kynerd. "I would desire they love God with all their mind heart and use time and talents and resources to serve God."

 He says he hopes they impact the world....to honor Christ.

the school offers mission trips to help do just that.

Dr. Kynerd. "We go and serve people who materially have very little but we always see a spirit of gratefulness and we do other ministry out reaches to cultivate a growth in service. and grow students in gratitude to the Lord."

He says he wants then to know the importance of not being defined by achievement alone.

But to have freedom from false idols.

Dr. Kynerd. "By Gods grace I saw at an early age people can make such an impact in peoples lives I wanted to give back."

He saw God's love through his mother's actions.

Dr. Kynerd. "The fruit of the spirit in my mothers life heart... one of the children was physically and mentally handicapped I saw my mother model the fruit of the spirit."

And that love peace patience and kindness... is alive in the life and servant hood of Dr. Byrle Kynderd... here at Briarwood Christian School.

Now he says... he will leave for a new ministry... and is excited to see how God shapes that for him.

His life verse... John 3:16....

And even though he will not be physically at the school serving... he will always keep everyone here in his prayers.

 Dr. Kynerd: "I pray with thanksgiving in the lives of each and every child...amen."
