More Sleep in 2012

Lots of people are resolving to get more sleep in 2012.

But saying it-- and doing it-- are two different things.

Experts say you should try to implement routines that will help you turn-off mentally or distract you from your daily activities.

Another suggestion is to put all of your electronic devices down a half-hour before bedtime.

And-- when you're ready for bed-- the one thing you should "not" do is look at the clock.

Dr. Charles Bae of the Cleveland Clinic said, "Because the minute you look at that time it's not just looking at one number. You start mental calculations, you think about how long it's been since you've been in bed and what you have to do the next day. And before you know it, a long time has passed and that cuts into your sleep time."

Some of you may benefit from writing a "to do" list for the next day, right before bed.

It can take the worry from your mind because you've put it on paper.
