Canadian researchers will soon began testing an HIV vaccine on people.

Researchers at University of Western Ontario, say early tests show the vaccine stimulates a strong immune response.

The scientists got F-D-A approval to begin testing the vaccine to prevent HIV next month.

Doctors believe the vaccine could save millions of lives around the world.

Researchers say, previous clinical trials have failed because they used a live form of the virus.

His team's vaccine uses a dead HIV virus, which will not cause HIV in recipients.

They say, it would be at least five years before the vaccine was ready to go on the market.
