If you're really into texting, you will want to know this.
A new study examined how technology impacts moral behavior.
It revealed that people who text message are prone to becoming digital-age Pinocchios.
Study participants who got their information over text were 95-percent more likely to report they had been lied to than those who used video; 31 percent more with texting than face-to-face, and 18 percent more with texting than audio.
Researchers say, less self awareness, the more anonymous you perceive yourself to be and the more distance between people... leads to the likelihood of engaging in deceitful behavior.
So, don't believe everything you read in that text message.
