Golden Hurricane Tops OU In NCAA Volleyball Tournament

The University of Tulsa women's volleyball team has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament after topping Oklahoma three sets to one in Los Angeles.

Tyler Henderson led the way with 30 kills for the Golden Hurricane (28-6) while Kellie Culbertson added 17 kills and 15 digs.

After OU took the second set to even things up at 1-1, Tulsa responded by taking the next two, 25-22 and 25-19.

Tulsa advances to play the winner of Saturday night's contest between host USC and Yale.

Oklahoma's season ends at 21-and-12.
