Le'Bryan Nash scored 21 points and Keiton Page added 15 as Oklahoma State rallied for a 59-56 win over visiting Tulsa Wednesday night at Gallager-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
The game was tied at 7-7 early before the Cowboys (4-2) scored 11 straight points to lead 18-7 on Brian Williams' lay-up with 11:18 left in the first half.
Tulsa trimmed the lead to 25-23 on Steven Idlet's lay-up with 1:43 left in the half, but OSU scored the next seven points to lead 32-23 at the break.
Tulsa (4-4) finally gained the lead when Tim Pete came up with a steal and passed it ahead to Jordan Clarkson for a lay-up and a 39-38 lead with 12:46 left.
TU's lead would grow to seven at 50-43 before Nash spurred the comeback, scoring the next eight points for Oklahoma State to cut the lead to 52-51. Page would put the Cowboys ahead for good on a 3-pointer with 2:25 to play.
The Golden Hurricane couldn't get a shot to fall down the stretch and had to foul. Reger Dowell made three free throws, but missed a pair with three seconds left that gave Tulsa a chance.
But, Scottie Haralson's 3-point attempt at the buzzer missed and the Cowboys held on for the win, ending a two-game losing skid.
OSU won despite being out-rebounded 39-30. The Cowboys countered by out-scoring the Golden Hurricane 30-12 in points off the bench.
Tulsa was led by Clarkson's 18 points. Steven Idlet added 13 points.
The Golden Hurricane next hosts Arizona State Saturday at the Reynolds Center. The Sun Devils are 2-and-4 after a four-point loss at home against DePaul.
Oklahoma State plays Sunday at home against Langston.
