Former University of Oklahoma center Abi Olajuwon is apparently the newest member of the Tulsa Shock.

While the Shock have not yet issued a statement, Oklahoma women's basketball sport information director Jared Thompson let the word out on Twitter, saying "Perfect chance for #Sooners fans to see @AbiOlajuwon with her new team. Tulsa Shock have five straight home games starting Tuesday."

Thompson says Olajuwon's first game with Tulsa will be Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Dream, which features another former OU star, Courtney Paris.

Olajuwon -- the daughter of NBA Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon -- played at OU from 2006 to 2010, posting a 10.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game average as a senior, helping lead the Sooners to the Final Four.

She was drafted by the Chicago Sky with the 28th overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft, playing in six games, averaging one point per game. She also played in one preseason game with the Indiana Fever, scoring four points  in six minutes.

Most recently, she was playing overseas with a Romanian team.

Tulsa is 1-and-14 and are in the middle of a nine-day layoff following Sunday's 31-point loss at New York. The next game is scheduled Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the BOK Center against Atlanta.
