The Tulsa Shock have filled a roster spot with the acquisition of former Seattle and Washington forward Jacinta Monroe.
Monroe, who is 6'5", fills the spot created when the Shock waived Miranda Ayim on Wednesday.
Monroe was the sixth overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics and was on the roster for the Seattle Storm before being waived on May 30th.
Monroe had played a couple minutes, but did not score while picking up three fouls in Seattle's 76-70 pre-season victory over the Shock a day earlier.
In 17 games with the Mystics as a rookie in 2010, Monroe averaged 2.1 points and nearly one rebound per game in just under seven minutes per contest.
Monroe played college basketball at Florida State, where she averaged 13 points and 7.4 rebounds per game as a senior.
