A big thanks to the Birmingham Police Department! They put on a fantastic run! If you are a runner or a walker, I would recommend it... because it is a fast flat track with only a few challenging inclines.
It was for a great cause. The money raised went to the Special Olympics.
If you are looking for a great run next year, I would endorse this run. The t-shirts were very cute....
They played with the name the Birmingham Police 5k Pig Run and used a picture of a pig on the t-shirt.
There was plenty of water and support along the course. Even for a very slow runner like me, I didn't feel left behind. I also met some very nice people who were taking part. It was a great way to start the day!
