
Oral Roberts outfielder Nick Baligod was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 40th round of the Major League Baseball draft Wednesday.
Baligod, a redshirt senior from Fairfield, California, led the Golden Eagles with a .364 batting average, 67 runs, 136 total bases, 90 hits, 21 doubles and two triples and was second in steals (15), tied for third in home runs (7) and fourth in runs batted in (41).
He was named a first-team All-Summit League player for the second straight season.
He's the first ORU player selected in this year's MLB draft.
