Ian Keserich stopped 44 shots to help the Tulsa Oilers take a 2-games-to-1 series lead on Bossier-Shreveport as the Oilers edged the Mudbugs 3-2 Tuesday night at the BOK Center.
The Oilers had just 22 shots all evening while Bossier-Shreveport had 23 in just the second period alone.
Gary Steffes gave Tulsa a 1-0 lead early in the first period off the pass from John Mori.
The Mudbugs tied the game 30 seconds into the second period when Shawn Limpright scored unassisted.
The Oilers and Mudbugs traded goals within 94 seconds later in the period with Marty Standish scoring a shorthanded goal for Tulsa and Nick Layton scoring for Bossier-Shreveport.
Evan Kotsopoulos scored his first goal of the playoffs six minutes into the third period that proved to be the game-winner.
Tulsa can clinch the series and an appearance in the Berry Conference Finals with a win Friday night at home. If the Mudbugs win, game five would be Saturday in Shreveport.
