Birmingham teens celebrate Black History with a special performance at the Alys Stephens Center. The play, "Extraordinary Americans Who Happen to be …" is the latest production by the "Make It Happen Performing Ensemble."

The play centers around a group of teens learning to appreciate the rights and privileges they enjoy today because of the struggle, hope and determination of African Americans throughout history.

A public performance of the play will happen this Saturday, Feb. 12th. Tickets are $8 for kids, $10 for adults. Call 205-975-2787 or go to www.AlysStephens.org.
