Gulf Coast Oil - ABC 33/40 - Birmingham News, Weather, Sports

We've been watching the reports of oil and tar balls washing up along the coast.  Even with the mess in the gulf,  some friends were heading down to grab some family fun and beach time. 

      Local baseball travel teams are also planning a beach trip to the gulf.   At the same time people are making plans to head to the gulf, others are cancelling reservations.   Health experts warn to stay away from the oil on the beaches.  Other workers have complained that they have become ill after working to clean up the oil.  

      Some brave souls are deciding  to go anyway to see for themselves what is happening to our beaches.  I am curious?  If you are there, or have been there, please respond and tell us what you have seen, smelled or witnessed.  If you've planned a vacation to the beach, are you still planning to go?
