Tracy Haynes anchors Good Morning Alabama and Talk of Alabama on ABC 33/40. A Georgia native, Tracy's career in television has taken him from Savannah to Birmingham, Atlanta, Chicago and back to Birmingham. He distinguished himself as a reporter in those cities, winning several Emmy awards and one prestigious George Foster Peabody Award. He's also been honored by the National Association of Black Journalists.
Tracy's career actually began in Columbus, Georgia where he worked at a radio station while attending high school. He moved from radio to television news in 1988 after graduating from Shorter College.
Tracy and his wife Kim have two children, Cassidy and Connor. Having lived and worked in Birmingham before, Tracy says he knew the Magic City was the place he wanted to raise his family.
