(Sports Network) - Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 21 shots to record his league-leading fifth shutout of the season, as the Phoenix Coyotes defeated the Anaheim Ducks, 4-0.

Scottie Upshall, Martin Hanzal, Taylor Pyatt and Robert Lang each had a goal for the Coyotes, who have won eight straight at Jobing.com Arena and are 10-2-1 in their last 13 games overall.

"The guys were ready and competed very hard," said Phoenix head coach Dave Tippett.

Anaheim goaltender Jonas Hiller allowed three goals on 28 shots before he was replaced by Jean-Sebastien Giguere with about eight minutes left in the third period. Giguere made three saves the rest of the way for the Ducks, who were vying for a third consecutive win.

"We didn't have much going from an energy standpoint and struggled to execute," said Anaheim head coach Randy Carlyle.

The Coyotes grabbed a 1-0 lead at the 8:20 mark of the first period on Upshall's team-leading 13th goal of the season.

An aggressive forecheck created a turnover deep in the Anaheim zone. Phoenix captain Shane Doan backhanded the puck out front to Matthew Lombardi, whose bid from in tight was turned away by Hiller. Upshall, though, followed up the play and knocked in the rebound before the Swiss netminder could reel it in.

Hanzal made it 2-0 with 3:31 remaining in the opening frame, and the 200th career point for Pyatt gave the Coyotes a three-goal advantage midway through the second period.

Lang one-timed a Peter Mueller feed for a power-play goal with 3:50 remaining in the third period.
