(Sports Network) - The road hasn't been kind to an otherwise much improved Sacramento team. The Kings have dropped seven straight away from ARCO Arena and are a miserable 1-10 as the visitor on the year.

Paul Westphal's club will try and cure those road woes when they kick off a three-game Midwest trip against a team that has trouble winning wherever it plays, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Kings are coming off a hard-fought win in Sacramento Wednesday when rookie star Tyreke Evans had 26 points, six rebounds and six assists, as Sacramento held on to top the Washington Wizards (web | news) , 112-109.

Evans had 10 points in the fourth quarter for the Kings, who had lost their last eight matchups with the Wizards. Sacramento had not beaten Washington since February 27, 2005.

Omri Casspi added a career-best 22 points, while Andres Nocioni had 20 points in the win. Jason Thompson provided 17 points and 13 boards in the victory.

"We didn't want guys coming out there and forcing things," said Evans. "We went out there and kept our composure."

The Kings will also visit Milwaukee and Chicago on their trek.

The Wolves, meanwhile, fell to just 2-11 at Target Center on Wednesday when Chris Kaman logged 23 points and 10 rebounds and Eric Gordon scored a game- high 25, as the Clippers ran away with a 120-95 victory over Minnesota.

Three-point shooting was one of the many differences in the game, as Los Angeles went 10-of-23 from downtown, compared to a 1-for-11 effort from the Timberwolves, losers of five of their last six overall.

Kevin Love paced Minnesota with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Al Jefferson added 18 and eight boards in a losing effort.

"We couldn't execute anything with any efficiency," Minnesota's Damien Wilkins said. "When we made stops defensively they got second shots. They rebound the ball well on both ends, and we allowed them to be the best at what they do best."

On the injury front for the Wolves, forward Ryan Gomes is questionable for tonight's contest with a sprained left ankle,

The Kings have won four straight over Minnesota including a 120-100 rout in Sacramento on Dec. 12.
