Metro Birmingham - *Video of both cases can be seen by clicking the "click here to watch" icon next to this story.*

Your anonymous tip is needed to help detectives identify and locate suspects in two recent cases.  The first case involves check fraud that started in Mountain Brook.  The other case is the armed holdup of a bingo hall in the Clay-Palmerdale area.

Anyone who can help identify either suspect from the video attached to this article is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777 immediately.  Callers are never asked for their names and will be given code numbers to remain anonymous.  If a caller's tip is the first to lead to an arrest, the caller uses the code number to claim a cash reward.

Check Fraud:  Surveillance cameras captured a glimpse of a man accused of using a counterfeit check that was based on the checking account of a victim in Mountain Brook.  The suspect is seen wearing a red sweatshirt and what appears to be a Cincinnati Reds ballcap.  The image comes from a Wal-Mart on the east side of Birmingham.

Police say the original check was stolen from the victim's mailbox, and a false ID was forged to match the name on the check.  Also, a new, fake check was made based on the personal information on the original check.

The suspect, seen in the video attached to this article, is believed to be driving a dark-colored Chrysler 300.  Anyone who recognizes the man is urged to call Crime Stoppers so detectives can locate the suspect and serve justice.

Bingo Hall Heist:  This case comes from the morning of December 10, when a man drove up to a bingo hall on Old Springville Road and robbed the place at gunpoint.  Surveillance video shows images of the man driving what appears to be a dark-colored, older-model Saturn sedan.  The car is missing its front hubcap on the passenger side.

The suspect himself is not easily identifiable through the video.  However, detectives believe someone can match his general build with the car seen on the video.  Anyone who believes they know the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers as soon as possible.

Detectives are worried if the man is not caught, he could stage more dangerous holdups soon.

Authorities say the man has apparently frequented bingo halls in the past and is seemingly desperate for cash.  Crime Stoppers is ready to take your tips -- right now.
