Take Pride: The Birmingham Museum of Art
The museum features over 22,000 paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings and decorative arts, including Asian, European, American, African,Pre-Columbian and Native American. It's 180,000 square foot facility in the heart of downtown Birmingham contains over 5,000 years of art history.
The museum's collection of Asian art is considered one of the finest in the Southeast, and its Vietnamise ceramics one of the finest in the world.
The museum is also home to the remarkable kress collection of Renaissance and Baroque paintings, sculpture and decorative.
The Birmingham Museum of Art is open 365 days a year and is free to the public.
