Birmingham - Birmingham police charged a man with manslaughter after his brother was shot and killed in October.
48-year-old Nathaniel Davis was found with a gunshot wound to his head on October 30 in the 1700 block of McMillion Avenue SW. Davis was taken to UAB Hospital and remained in intensive care until November 19 when he died.
The shooting occurred during a fight at Davis' birthday party.
Police originally charged his brother, 53-year-old Marvin Davis with assault. Those charges were upgraded to manslaughter after the case was reviewed by the district attorney's office.
