Anniston, AL - The crowd will be moving at Saturday's holiday parade in Anniston while the floats stand still. The decorations are up along Noble Street in anticipation for the first "Un-Parade" beginning at 5:30pm.
A stationary parade presented some creative challenges for organizers.
Pageant winners will walk a red carpet, city leaders will operate a café and of course Santa will appear.
Spirit of Anniston's Betsy Bean explains, "He might normally come down the street in a fire truck but this time we're going to have him in Christmas tree park. He's going to be sitting in a very pretty gold and green velvet chair and the kids will be able to talk to him if they want to for free."
They can get their photos with Santa, too.
There will be a moving parade on December 17th for any traditionalist.
If it rains tomorrow the "Un-Parade" will be held before it rolls.
