The magic city's new Board of Education will be installed on Tuesday, but board members are already being trained for the challenges they will face.
They have attended three workshops, focusing on legal and financial issues. Now, the group known as Citizens For Better Schools, is holding it's own training.
The four incumbents and five newly elected members will attend sessions on such topics as accountability and transparency, ethics and drop out prevention. Parents will also get a chance to put their input.
The sessions are Friday and Saturday from 9-until 3, at the Jefferson County "Committee For Economic Development" Headquarters.
