Pell City, AL - New information has been released on a police-involved shooting in Pell City that left suspect, Barry Bush, dead.
Pell City Police say Sgt. Vince Warrington was the officer who tried to serve a search warrant for drugs at Bush's home Thursday night. They say he is well-trained and has been on the force for 11 years.
Also, the Saint Clair County Coroner confirms Bush was shot once in the head. The news has Bush's loved ones questioning whether police followed standard procedure.
"I can stand there and hold a gun on you all day long that don't mean I'm going to shoot you if I'm skilled and a veteran," says Bush's friend.
"Search warrants are given all the time but just because you have a search warrant doesn't mean you can kill them," says Charlie Robinson Jr., Bush family attorney.
Right now, Pell City Police and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation are not offering any additional information, whatsoever, on the case. Nor are they telling us when they might make a statement.
Bush is set to be buried Wednesday at 1p.m.
