Gadsden, AL -
Three Gadsden firefighters were injured when a ceiling collapsed inside a burning home. It happened last night at a residence on the corner of Shannon Circle and Scenic Drive on Lookout Mountain.
The injuries were not life threatening and they've been released from the hospital. The two people living there escaped with only minor injuries, however the family's dog died in the blaze. Family members say they're grateful for the efforts of all emergency responders.
Home owner Sharon Sickles adds, "Their care and the concern they had in making sure it was completely out and they were just great and I wish I knew their names. They were wonderful to us"
Her husband says he was working on a car in the garage basement when a work-light sparked gasoline and ignited the fire.
