Spend $20 on the 20th in Calhoun County
On Tuesday morning the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce announced the promotion.
Organizers say if every resident would spend $20 locally it would result in a half-million dollar sales tax boost.
The campaign begins this Friday the 20th and takes place every month.
Chamber President Sherri Sumners explains, "We know it will build each money so we hope that two or three months in people are looking at circulars and looking to the television stations to find out what those great discounts are going to be."
Several Calhoun County stores will be posting sales specials coinciding with the twentieth of the month.
