Birmingham Police Say Child's Death Was Homicide

On Saturday, August 29th, four year old Evan Byrdsong's mother took him to Children's Hospital.. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The Jefferson County Coroner now says Byrdsong died of conditions related to abuse and neglect.
