Until medical professionals are incented to live and serve in rural areas, medical care will always be marginal. This can work if there is a partnership with a major hospital like UAB where people are rotated and their pay is augmented by the State or Federal government to serve in a rural environment. The concept is great...now work out the logistics to bring it about.

Agreed, I often think about how far our hunting camp is from the nearest hospital. A snake bite could be really bad news for someone...
