Hueytown, Ala. - *Video will be shown Tuesday night at 10:00 on ABC 33/40 News. The video will also be uploaded on this site Wednesday morning.*
Hueytown Police on Tuesday released dramatic video from an armed holdup that took place Friday night at a Subway restaurant.
Detectives hope someone who sees the video will be able to identify at least one of the suspects.
Surveillance video shows three armed suspects entering the restaurant. One points a gun at two children standing at the cash register and moves the children to the side. Another suspect robs the father of the children. The third suspect puts a revolver to a clerk's head and robbed both the store and an employee.
Two of the suspects are believed to be juveniles. Their heads are covered by hoods, and cameras did not capture clear views of the younger suspects' faces.
However, the face of the third suspect can be clearly seen as he enters the store. Crime Stoppers needs anyone who can identify the suspect to provide an anonymous tip on who he is or where he can be found.
"Just an anonymous call will be fine," Hueytown Detective Michael Shupe said. "We just need a name where we can pull the picture and say, 'Yes, that's him in the picture. That's him on the video. That's who they are.'"
The older suspect is believed to be from Hueytown, Wylam, or somewhere in western Jefferson County. He traveled with the other two suspects in a newer-model, white Ford F-150 pickup truck that had been stolen earlier in the evening in east Birmingham.
Anyone with information on the case can contact Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777. Detectives will give you a private code number when you call, meaning you will never be asked for your name. If an arrest is made, you then use the code number to claim your cash reward.
Encrypted tips can be sent online by going to

Since all tipsters remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers cannot call them to court to testify, meaning you will not have to worry about talking publicly about the case.
