Second: I can not and I will not defend this woman in any way, shape form or fashion. Her actions and her leadership ability, her lack of tenacity, all have been to the detriment of the entire city as well as the entire police force.
She may be a nice person, she may be a good Christian, but she is incompetent as far as running a police department. I've heard her speak on many occasion and just from what I've heard, she's not capable now, nor at any time in the past, of executing the post of chief of police to the fullest extent needed, in order to be effective.
While I think it's definitely an obstacle removed, it doesn't yet mean that better things will take place or that a more capable, more aggressive person will fill this spot.
Now we have to wait and see. And hope for the best.
I'm not holding my breath waiting for Langford's new selection, but any change is better than NO change in this situation.
